As a member of the Sustaining Engineering team, you would join other smart, talented, and dedicated engineers that pride themselves in analyzing the most difficult challenges for the launch-test range while developing and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the US Space Force and their customers.
This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid telecommuting schedule after the initial training period is complete. Tasks for this position must be performed largely on-site but may be eligible for a hybrid telecommuting schedule for later assignments.
Essential Functions
- Support engineering in design, development and testing integrated solutions.
- Facilitate the engineering process by preparing and conducting analyses of engineering data utilizing common and custom tools.
- Develop documentation, processes, and procedures to facilitate the delivery of engineering products.
- Conduct vendor analyses and procurement specifications.
- Support the development of work orders and purchase requisitions.
- Analyze, prepare, and package engineering data for reports and presentations.
- Present the results of analyses to management and customers.
- Facilitate the flow and integration of technical information among the technical staff and between support organizations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field or field requiring extensive research and critical thinking, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) or more years engineering, analytical or technically relevant experience
- Experience with the engineering development process, preferably in an engineering related field
- Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software, and desktop applications with a specific concentration in one or more areas
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be willing to travel 10% of time (to Pillar Point, CA)
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License

The salary range for this role is $76,970 to $109,606; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
