This HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) position, is located at an Air National Guard (ANG) Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS) unit and is part of the CA 144 FW.

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION

The primary purpose of the HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-9, is to serve on the Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS). The incumbent will administer and direct the Group Commander's Support Staff functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

General Experience: Possess a valid understanding of the basic principles and concepts of human resources functions and programs.

HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, in: using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments; Experience performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data; Experience operating a computer and using varied computer programs; Experience of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee; Experience using human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Have a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work required.
